To this day, there are no studies demonstrating that eating organic reduces the risk of developing cancer. That said, I encourage you none the less to choose organic produce where possible, if only as a precautionary measure. Indeed, the long term risks of a pesticide-laden diet are not yet known. What’s more, there are other reasons to prefer organic foods: their lighter impact on the environment, or a keener respect for animal wellbeing, or even the improved taste of the food.
