Hockey Mom Tips #2 : Carb Loading Snacks

My life as a Hockey Mom is challenging enough without having to jump through nutritional hoops to get my child to perform well on the ice! But carbohydrate loading is so easy – I make sure that I stock my fridge and counters with carbs that are easy for my child to grab when the snacking urge hits – fresh fruit, leftover pasta, homemade muffins, individual yogurts – you get the drift! I really like the idea that my hockey player is well hydrated and has muscles full of fuel before the tournament or playoff craziness starts!
