We already love slow cooker recipes (if you didn’t catch our list, check it out here) because they’re easy and versatile. They’re also adaptable to casseroles if you don’t have the equipment. This is a particularly hearty meal that is perfect for winter. It’s filling and you can use cheaper cuts of pork, making it budget friendly.
Shepherd’s Pie is a classic casserole. It’s quick and easy to make and just about everybody has their own recipe for it. Cinzia’s version includes mushrooms and peas for a bit of extra flavour and nutrition. Mushrooms are an excellent addition to meat dishes because they have umami flavour that helps to give a deep, savoury taste to dishes. So, this version of a classic shepherd’s pie is sure to satisfy!
This casserole is absolutely gorgeous and full of amazing ingredients. Stuffed peppers are already really fantastic family food and this casserole is an easy way to make a huge batch all at once. It’s more of a “deconstructed” version, but it has all the delicious things you’d find in a traditional stuffed pepper. If you’re a little short on time and just want to make a huge batch, it’s definitely worth trying. We also have a chicken version of our stuffed peppers, for those who want something a little leaner.
This recipe is great for a buffet brunch, breakfast, dessert, or even as a snack. It’s got all the yumminess of French toast in a convenient casserole. If you’ve ever had bread pudding, this is definitely in the same vein, though a little less compact and a bit dryer. The best part is it’s kid friendly to eat and to make. Letting kids get messy into the kitchen gets them excited for healthy, home-cooked meals.
This casserole combines three things that are always a hit: chicken, bacon, tomato. Bacon, lettuce, and tomato is just a classic combination that always works well together (check out our BLT Penne), and though this casserole is missing the lettuce, it definitely makes up for it with tender chicken and perfect pasta. The ranch-style white sauce brings everything together for the perfect one dish meal!
