White Fruits and Vegetables

White fruits and vegetables are coloured by pigments called “anthoxanthins“. Some members of the white group, such as garlic and onion, contain “allicin”, which may help lower cholesterol and blood pressure, and may also help reduce the risk of some types of cancer.

Some others members, such as bananas and potatoes, are good sources of potassium. Here are some other examples of the white group: Cauliflower, Ginger, Mushrooms, Parsnips, Turnips.
