Ingredients

16 pitted dates 3/4 cup
40 g goat cheese
40 g Mascarpone cheese 3 1/2 tbsp
ground pepper to taste [optional]
1/3 cup walnuts, or almonds, into small pieces 40 g

Method

  1. Split the dates down the middle leaving one side attached.
  2. In a bowl, beat the cheeses until creamy. Season with a little pepper.
  3. Place filling in a piping bag or a ziploc bag with the corner cut off. Fill the center of each date with the cheese filling. Top with the walnuts or almonds. Arrange the stuffed dates on a platter and store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
